BARRY SCHWARZ

Principal

Barry Schwarz is an Atlanta native with thirty years of experience in divorce and family law. Having graduated from Emory University School of Law with distinctions, Barry has spent his entire legal career in family law in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Prior to law school and after graduating from Georgetown University, he worked several years as a certified public accountant with Pricewaterhouse Coopers. He brings sharp business acumen, along with strong skills in communication and persuasion, to every client engagement.

Barry has a proven record of success in managing challenging child custody cases and complex high asset clients, as well as handling less contentious matters, all with a goal and penchant for providing exceptional counsel while being resourceful in limiting the costs to clients. Barry spent years establishing one of the largest divorce law firms in Atlanta. Realizing the opportunity to provide clients a more seamless, hands-on approach, he established his practice with a vision to be engaged with each client every step of the way. Whether your situation involves difficult child custody circumstances, complex high asset disputes, or you simply require guidance in a less adversarial or collaborative case, Barry promises to provide attentive counsel. Each client is a priority, receiving expert and caring guidance and representation.

Barry has received many recognitions and awards including being named a Georgia and Atlanta Super Lawyer® beginning in 2007, being in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and receiving the AV Preeminent rating, the highest possible professional rating, by Martindale-Hubbell® beginning 2005, and being included in the Best Lawyers in America in Family Law. Barry is a frequent lecturer on the topics of divorce and other domestic law, and is involved in various professional, charitable, and community service organizations.
